Our client is a prominent supplier of raw materials and services to the rotational moulding industry.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a technically minded business development manager who will be able to drive new business growth by strategically penetrating markets, promoting technical expertise, and delivering exceptional service to both current and prospective clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the generation of new business by conducting thorough research and engaging in product development within targeted market segments, applications, and projects.
  • Cultivate deeper relationships with select organizations to gain insight into their specific business needs, thereby identifying potential development opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of market dynamics, trends, and competitive activities to ensure the business remains forward-thinking and adaptable.
  • Actively participate in scheduled sales and operational meetings to facilitate discussions on new sales prospects, analyze financial sales outcomes, and set future sales objectives.
  • Identify new projects and delineate technical requirements by closely collaborating with customers to understand their product needs and specifications.
  • Provide timely feedback to the team, ensuring comprehensive awareness of all business opportunities and associated risks.
  • Integrate developmental efforts into sales strategies to contribute to the achievement of annual product budget targets within the assigned portfolio.
  • Collaborate on product design and development teams, guiding products from conceptualization through to market launch.
  • Develop comprehensive long-term strategic plans for targeted markets by identifying new product opportunities and applications.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager with a track record of generating new business and sales within the plastics industry or related field.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with experience in identifying and capitalising on market opportunities preferably within the plastics or materials sector.
  • Ability to develop and execute business plans, including setting and achieving revenue targets and strong negotiating skills with experience of closing contracts.
  • Strong understanding of polymer science principles, material properties and performance characteristics.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and requirements from customers and translate them into product solutions.

In return, our Client is offering an attractive salary (depending on experience), car allowance, and discretionary bonus up to 20%
