Our Client develops, manufactures and supplies a wide range of waterborne acrylic polymer emulsions and Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSAs) to meet customer performance and specification needs.

To be considered for the Business Development position, you will have demonstrated the ability to plan, win and manage business in the use of acrylic polymers preferably in the coatings, construction materials and adhesive markets.

Responsibilities

• To identify new markets, customers, and products and in collaboration with colleagues work to deliver new business as a result.
• To nurture customer relationships and to ensure our Client is the preferred supplier of choice by target customers.
• To own and manage sales tonnes, revenue and margin for the Acrylic Polymers business.
• Manage Acrylic Polymer customers interactions with goal of maximising value on a medium to long term basis.
• Assess and identify which markets to focus on and why – and develop actionable plans.
• Take the lead role in commercial project management to ensure plans are delivered – internally and externally.
• Seek out customer key decision makers and influence to support delivery of the candidates commercial objectives.
• Working to constantly seek out new opportunities which the Acrylic polymer business should be exploring

Candidate Profile

• A strong background in the Chemical industry.
• Experience in managing  a successful business line or sector.
• A proven track record in generating new business and growth.
